📍 Drone Filming Permit – Lofoten Links
The rugged beauty of Lofoten Links, set between sea and sky, makes for extraordinary aerial footage. To protect the privacy of our guests, ensure safe drone operations, and preserve the experience on the course, all drone flights require prior approval and a Drone Filming Permit.
🎥 Applying for a Drone Filming Permit
To request a Drone Filming Permit, please contact Katie at katie@lofotenlinks.no and include:
Your name (and company name – if applicable)
The purpose of the filming (personal round, content creation, commercial production, etc.)
How the footage will be used (personal viewing, social media, commercial advertising, licensing, etc.)
The name of the drone operator
Proof that the drone operator is legally registered to fly in Norway or another EASA member state.
Proof of valid drone liability insurance (if applicable)
Drone Registration Requirements
Please note that, under Norwegian and EASA regulations, drone operators must be legally registered before flying.
If you are already registered as a drone operator in another EASA member state, you DO NOT need to register again in Norway.
If you are NOT registered in an EASA member state, you must register as a drone operator in Norway before your flight.

Please include proof of your registration when submitting your permit request.
💰 Drone Filming Permit Fee
A Drone Filming Permit is required for all drone operations at Lofoten Links, including personal filming. Permit fees vary depending on the nature and intended use of the footage.
🤝 Collaborative Filming
If your project aligns with the Lofoten Links brand and you are willing to provide the footage for our marketing use, we may waive the permit fee.
In these cases, a separate agreement will be prepared outlining usage rights, crediting, and delivery of the final content.
Conditions of Approval
All approved drone operations are subject to the following conditions:

- Drone flights are only permitted during your own round unless otherwise agreed.
- Drone operations must not interfere with play or disturb other guests.
- Other guests may not be intentionally filmed or photographed without their consent.
- Lofoten Links reserves the right to suspend or revoke a permit at any time due to safety, weather, course operations, or guest experience.
- Footage may not be sold, licensed, transferred to third parties, or used for commercial purposes without the prior written permission of Lofoten Links.
Unauthorized drone operations are strictly prohibited.
