General Information
Lofoten Links is situated in northern Norway, on the stunning Lofoten Islands, specifically on Gimsøy Island. Our resort is perched on the northern side of the island, offering breathtaking views of the midnight sun (from late May to mid-July), the northern lights (from late August to mid-April), and magnificent sunsets.
The Lofoten Links Lodges are located just 1.5 km west of the golf course. Nestled between the lodges and the course is our restaurant, Låven, the Icelandic Horse Farm, and a beach sauna that offers camping facilities.
Located above the Arctic Circle, we benefit from an anomaly known as the Gulf Stream – a powerful ocean current that brings warmer temperatures from the south.
However, the weather can change swiftly, so it’s wise to pack a wool under layer and a rain/wind coat, along with other essentials suitable for unpredictable weather.
While seasoned golfers know what gear to bring for links golf, our other guests might not realize that we can experience four seasons in a single day, and that our summers are often cooler than expected.
